It was late spring, 1977, when the “two Steves” introduced the game-changing computer — the Apple II — to a curious world that, until this point, had regarded computers as the tools of egghead academics who, alone, understood the mysteries and complexities of operating a machine with an arcane language.

A Guided Tour of Computing History
Steve Wozniak gave what must have been a memorable tour of the Computer History Museum’s upcoming exhibit, “Revolution: The First 2000 Years of Computing.”
He spent several minutes standing at a homebrew computer before he mentioned it was an Apple I. (His goal with the I, he said, was to build a computer that was as easy to use as a calculator.)
